Delivering Winter Aid on #GivingTuesday

Since 2012, nonprofits set aside the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – #GivingTuesday – to encourage people to give back. In 2019, USA for UNHCR challenged supporters to provide 1,500 winter kits – including thermal blankets, mattresses, winter clothes and plastic sheets – to protect refugee families during the winter season.

With the support of UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Ben Stiller, USA for UNHCR went above and beyond the initial goal, raising more than $346,729 and providing 2,730 winter survival kits.
